Chicken King in Hernando

Had not been here in a while, had the fish and chips which was pretty good.

Good food and pleasant, family friendly atmosphere. I'll definitely be back for more, I'd post a photo of the food but too bad I ate it all. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Great place for breakfast! Perfectly cooked diner style country breakfast. Got the C.K. Special - Eggs over easy, Sausage, bacon, hash browns, and choice of toast or buscuit all for $5.49. Next time will try the Pancakes which are plate sized. The chicken and waffles look good too!

My first time at Chicken King. My friends highly recommended it. The restaurant has, not surprisingly, chicken themed decor. Wait staff was friendly and prompt. I ordered their Wing Dings with light buffalo sauce. When I say "light", I still usually get too much sauce and cough and my eyes water through the entire meal, but it actually came light, so I got to enjoy the entire meal! Tge breading was just right, the chicken was properly cooked yet still meaty and juicy. I also ordered sweet potato fries, and this is the first time I have ever seen crinkle cut sweet potato fries. They were cooked just right, too. My 2 friends also enjoyed their chicken dinners. The restaurant has free off street parking, but not a lot of it. There was jockeying for spaces when we arrived on a Saturday at 130pm. There is no handicap door opener, but I think wheelchairs will fit through the exterior door fine if someone holds it open for you. I highly recommend Chicken King.

My husband and I stopped and had supper there. It was very good. The waitress was very nice and kept coming back and asking if everything was ok. You hardly have that happen anymore. People were very nice. We would go back next Friday.

A quaint little breakfast place. Good food and friendly service. The country fried steak with sausage gravy was amazing. Their western omelette was just as delicious. They serve a hearty coffee to go with it all. Have to go back and try their fried chicken, several people insisted its the best in Citrus County.

If enjoy Southern home cooking,Chicken King will be right up alley. The fried green tomatoes, mustard greens and fried okra was just the way mom's made. A friend of mine had the liver,he loved it. Also if your thinking , I'am a vegan think again,,,,,Moses

Tenderloin sandwich was awesome haven't had one in almost 10 years can't usually find them here in Florida my husband had that turkey and dressing like Thanksgiving dinner type meal and they were both absolutely excellent and they have regular customers from this point forward I highly recommend them Harry and Debra Hawkins

I absolutely love this place. Always on cue and extremely friendly.
